Jordex wins the Most Vital Company of the Netherlands Award.
On Thursday the 23rd of November, former Olympic swimming champion Pieter van den Hoogenband crowned Jordex as the Most Vital Company of the Netherlands. According to the jury, which consisted of Pieter van den Hoogenband and professor Erik Scherder, our company invests the most in keeping its team vital.
The companies Royal Peijnenburg from Geldrop and Xcellent from Amersfoort were amongst the finalists. During the award ceremony, we had the honor of taking over the award of last year’s winner Zalsman from Zwolle.
One of Jordex’s focal points is vitality. All aspects related to vitality have been thought through in detail: ranging from office facilities, to air conditioning, to creating a homely working environment. Jordex is furnished with a modern kitchen accompanied by a restaurant with fresh vegetables and salads, as well as a fully equipped gym.
“It’s simply a matter of calculations,” says CEO Ruud Maaskant. “If you expect the best performance of your team, you should ensure facilitating an optimal working environment. We keep an open mind to all suggestions that can contribute to our people performing better.”
The jury emphasizes the following: “The employees are encouraged to focus on their development and to work independently. Last year the transition to self-managing teams was started. An open culture and coaching in leadership are key factors here.”
According to the jury, Jordex offers a complete program with an eye for work-life balance.
The search and election of the Most Vital Company of the Netherlands is an initiative of MKB-Nederland and ONVZ Health Insurance. The final assessment is determined by the following three components: the vitality scan, the votes of the public and the jury’s vote.
This marked the fourth consecutive year in which the prize was awarded. Vital companies are very important for the Dutch economy, which is why MKB-Nederland and ONVZ Health Insurance encourage companies to invest in the well-being and development of their employees.
